MOSCOW, March 17 (RIA Novosti) - Greenpeace activists are calling on French company Areva to cease nuclear waste exports to Moscow ahead of another train delivery of radioactive uranium on Wednesday.

CHENNAI: The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and Areva, one of the biggest reactor manufacturers of France, are finalising contracts for two 1,650 MWe-European Pressurised Reactor plants at Jaitapur, Maharashtra, by the year-end, according to French Ambassador to India Jerome Bonnafont.

While the cap on liability is lower than in several other countries, few producers, including those in India, will supply nuclear power equipment without such a bill -- raising the caps is an obvious solution.
