• Dale Klein to stay on at NRC

  Dan Packer, former Entergy CEO, is a candidate for the NRC’s open seat Platts reports that NRC Chairman Dale Klein (right) says he plans to remain at the agency, either as chairman or as a commissioner, and he has not been told by President-elect Barack Obama's administration transition team that he will be replaced as chairman.   Utility asks NRC to stop reviews for Grand Gulf and River Bend Platts reports that Entergy has asked the NRC to suspend review  of the utility's two COL applications - one for Grand Gulf, MS , and the other for River Bend, LA .  According to Platts, Entergy asked the NRC to stop billing time at $250/hr for the safety review on both applications and to temporarily suspend the environmental...
