NRC Meeting March 31 In Rockville, MD, To Discuss Draft Rule On New Reactor Construction Site Security
Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will conduct a public meeting at the agency headquarters in Rockville, Md., on Wednesday, March 31, to discuss proposed language for a rule that would set requirements for access authorization and physical security at new reactor construction sites.
The NRC will hold the meeting in Room T8A1 of the agency’s Two White Flint North building, 11545 Rockville Pike in Rockville, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. NRC staff will provide background on the topic, an overview of the proposed rule before the meeting is opened to discussion and several question/answer periods. The staff will outline a schedule for finalizing the proposed rule language later in the meeting.
