Clinton's cobalt campaign

GEH signs MoUs with Indian companies
GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) has signed agreements with Nuclear Power Corp of India Ltd (NPCIL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) to prepare for the construction of new nuclear power reactors in India.

GEH selects site for potential Silex enrichment plant
GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy has selected Wilmington, North Carolina, as the site for a potential commercial uranium enrichment plant using the SILEX laser isotope separation process technology. The eventual plant could have a capacity of up to 6 million SWU and operate from 2012.

ABWR vendors set up shop
GE-Hitachi has set up a project office to market Advanced Boiling Water Reactors (ABWRs) in the USA. The move comes just weeks after Toshiba established a US company to do the same thing.

Areva, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) and Westinghouse will participate in the next step of the nuclear procurement process in Ontario, Canada. GE-Hitachi has chosen to withdraw.
