DoE consults industry on NGNP
The US Department of Energy has appealed to industry on "how best to achieve the goals and meet the requirements" of its Next Generation Nuclear Plant project. It wants to finalize the conceptual design and operational parameters of the future reactor.

European energy developments on fast track
The European Commission has announced plans to speed up energy technology developments including Generation IV reactors. Meanwhile, a cross-party group of 56 members of the European Parliament have signed a declaration calling for nuclear to be maintained and developed in the European Union.
