Job Description

 

SUMMARY

Oversees nuclear program IAW QA manual & other applicable standards.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

§  Oversees nuclear program IAW QA manual, 10CFR21 & other applicable standards.

§  Develops short- and long-range plans that are appropriately comprehensive, realistic, and effective in meeting project goals; On Time, On Budget, Quality, No Accidents Safety Program.

§  Allocates one’s own time efficiently; handles multiple demands and competing priorities; efficiently processes paperwork; manages meetings effectively.

 

Financial Understanding

§  With project team promptly develops an action plan to correct activity causing cost over runs or poor customer satisfaction.

 

Order Management

§  Maintain and monitor policies, procedures and systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures and implement solutions.

§  Ensure that materials from vendors and staff resources are available as scheduled and ordered as well as monitoring and reporting out to management on quality issues and warranty claims.

 

Purchasing

§  Purchasing functions to ensure accurate and on-time receipt of materials and services.

§  Manage activities related to the purchasing of materials, equipment, machinery, outside services and supplies to attain on time customer delivery.

§  Assist support personnel in planning activities to provide for on-time receipt of materials and resolve material flow issues.

 

Documents Management

§  Maintains and retains documents per QA manual requirements.

§  Creates, reviews and approves various technical documents for accuracy and completion.

 

Safety

§  Commitment to safety demonstrated through Safety review of contracts work scopes and ensuring that project is safe.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Employee Management

§  Direction of daily activities for employees assigned to nuclear program.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

§    BS in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

§  Five years or more equivalent work experience in the nuclear field, preference given to program management

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

§  Experience with Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD), Item Equivalency Evaluation (IEE), Technical Evaluation of Replacement Items (TERI), Critical Characteristic determination and design verification / Similarity Analysis.

§  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical information to communicate direction and processes to internal staff and suppliers.

§  Strong operating computer software skills required with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel.

§  Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong PC, and organizational skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

§  Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Arizona Driver’s License; must be insurable by Company’s insurance carrier.
