One of our clients, a Multinational Utility that is ranked in the top 20 Energy Companies in the world has an urgent need for an Electric Asset Data GIS Analyst! This is a long-term “contract” position, with an initial assignment expected to last about 12 months, with the very real possibility of an assignment extension for a top performer! In the role of an Electric Asset Data GIS Analyst you will analyze and process work in the companies Electric Geographic Information System (GIS). You will be required to accurately represent electric distribution assets by collaborating with stakeholders and referencing maps and/or photos. You will be responsible to review and compare to the “as-built” drawings. You will conduct virtual walk downs of the electricity distribution system in order to confirm the connectivity model. In addition, you will adjust attributes and perform modeling in the system to ensure all of the components on the electric distribution system are in alignment. 

The qualified candidate for Electric Asset Data GIS Analyst MUST HAVE:

-Experience working with electrical utility GIS models and systems – Such as Smallworld or ESRI. 
-Electric Utility, T&D, Substation, or related Industry experience required.
-Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
-Good general computer and analytical skills.
-BA Degree or equivalent experience required.
-Immediate availability for assignment in the Central NY State Area
