The OL3 EPR™ nuclear plant in Finland was rumored in the press to be experiencing further delays. AREVA denies this. The group confirms the schedule announced in June of this year. Construction will officially end in late 2012 when the first fuel is loaded, after which a series of power escalation tests will be carried out by the operator in preparation for connection to the grid in 2013.

An outage worker at DTE Energy’s Fermi 2 nuclear plant in Monroe County lost the tips of two fingers in a Thanksgiving Day accident.
