A graduate of Southern Illinois University, Langdon’s background also includes positions at the Diablo Canyon, Peach Bottom, Dresden and LaSalle plants, and he served aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.

In the announcement, the company also said Nine Mile Point shift operations supervisor Frank Payne will take over the operations manager position from Michel Philippon as he is promoted to plant general manager.

They will oversee the operation of Nine Mile Point’s two General Electric boiling water reactors on the shore of Lake Ontario which, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, together produce about 1,760 megawatts electric.
