As the Kewaunee nuclear plant prepares to cease power generation, Xcel Energy will hold a job fair for affected workers in Green Bay, Wis., Thursday and Friday.

Dominion plans to close the Wisconsin plant this spring, and Xcel has been recruiting its staff for jobs at its Monticello and Prairie Island plants in Minnesota. Xcel's employment page can be found here.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reported that the job fair will take place both days from noon to 8 p.m. at the Country Inn and Suites at 850 Kepler Drive in Green Bay. Participants should bring multiple copies of their resumes.

  • I hope Dominion knows how much work is required for decommissioning. They should ask SMUD, who was fined $50K for deficiencies in the Rancho Seco decommissioning after so many Rancho Seco personnel left or were fired.
