Reactor Construction Photos Document Arrival of Massive Components at V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant

South Carolina Electric and Gas continues to release photos showing the construction progress at V.C. Summer. Over the last six months, several large components have arrived on site as crews continue their work on the containment structures for the two new Westinghouse AP1000 reactors.

A 300-ton, 148-foot-long deaerator manufactured in South Korea was transported by ship and barge, then delivered to the site by a pusher-puller truck, as it was too long to move by train.
