Second EDF contract for UK architect

London-based architect firm YRM has been awarded a contract by EDF Energy to act as overall architect for the planned new Sizewell C nuclear power plant in Suffolk, UK. The contract follows an earlier one for work on the new Hinkley Point C plant.

Areva and EdF reach agreement on used fuel

Areva and Electricité de France (EdF) announced that they had reached an agreement covering the transportation, treatment and recycling of used nuclear fuel. A contract reflecting this agreement is expected to be signed before the end of March.

Planning request for UK plant due in August
