Hi everyone.I am looking for info on entry level positions in the nuclear energy field.Seeking a new career field after being in mechanical field for last 25 years.Any suggestions for a newbie would be appreciated.
I started as an outage worker. That is usually the best way to get started in this industry.
With 25 years of mechanical experience, maybe a contract job is better for you.

In reply to BigBen:
If you have a relatively clean background- no felonies/dwi's send me a resume and we could look it over. We do outage ISI and BOP NDE

I have completed a specialized program from Lanier Technical College and currently work for GE Energy. I have earned an AAS in Electrical Utility Technology co-developed by Southern Company. I have passed the MASS and POSS exams administered by the Southern Company. My passion and where I would like to begin my career is working on all the mechanical systems inside the plant. I'm willing to travel for outages.
