Hatch Nuclear Plant VP Will Lead Southern Co.'s Nuclear Fleet Operations

Southern Nuclear recently announced leadership changes at its Hatch nuclear plant as its site vice president takes a job at the company's headquarters.

Dennis Madison will become the fleet operations vice president. In his place, Hatch plant manager David Vineyard will become the new site vice president. His former position will be filled by Tony Spring, who had been named the initial test program director at the Plant Vogtle reactor construction project earlier this year.

Madison will join Southern Nuclear's Birmingham, Ala., headquarters following 31 years with the company. He had held his previous position at Hatch, southwest of Savannah, Ga., since 2007. Vineyard also joined Southern Co. in the 1980s and worked as fleet operations manager before becoming Hatch's plant manager in 2012, according to a Southern Co. announcement Friday.
