CEO Tom Fanning has said he hopes to announce plans to expand the utility's fleet of power reactors by the end of the year. The company is studying six existing plants and new sites for potential reactor construction, Platts reported during a conference held by the Bipartisan Policy Center Wednesday. He suggested plans would involve building two Westinghouse AP1000 pressurized water reactors, similar to the ongoing expansion at Georgia's Plant Vogtle.Fanning declined to provide further details on the location or timeline of potential reactor construction. Southern is planning to finish units 3 and 4 at Vogtle in 2017.

Maybe plant hatch
I'm not sure if the river can support two more. In years past the river got really low affecting operations and once a small type of underwater ridge / dam was installed to raise the level at the intake. A costal region would be good
This is true but units one and two can't be on line forever
