South Carolina Electric & Gas recently produced this video recapping work during the second quarter on the two AP1000 reactors under construction at the V.C. Summer nuclear plant. Recent milestones at the South Carolina construction site include the placement of the enormous CA20 module inside unit 2, as well as lifts to place the first of unit 2's containment vessel rings and the containment vessel bottom head at unit 3. At the peak of construction, roughly 3,500 people will work on the new reactors.
