Valcor Engineering, a designer and manufacturer of solenoid valves and flow control components for liquids and gases, is proud to announce they have acquired the rights to manufacture and sell CU Services products.
CU Services has been providing products to the power and process industries for over forty-five years. Their line of products include: plug resistant orifices to drain steam and condensate lines in power and process plants, diffusers for high pressure drop service, diffuser silencers for high pressure service as well as multistage let-down orifices.
“This will allow Valcor to provide consultation and replacement components to legacy products, as well as the ability to supply unique solutions in critical applications in the power and process industries,” stated Steven Gatcomb, Nuclear Sales & Marketing Director.
CU Services orifices have been used in power plants and process applications around the world since 1971, and were designed to prevent inadvertent water induction into turbine cylinders by replacing failure-prone steam traps. Diffusers are made for pump spillback and flow restriction to eliminate the damage that is caused by control valve cavitation. Silencers greatly reduces steam vent noise and creates a back pressure on the vent valve to reduce the wear and tear on the valve.
Valcor Engineering Corporation (www.valcor.com), founded in 1951, designs and manufactures solenoid valves and control components for liquids and gases in critical applications in the aerospace, nuclear, light industrial and scientific industries. Headquartered in Springfield, New Jersey, Valcor’s world-class staff of engineers, designers, and technical support personnel utilize fully-equipped, modern test facilities to test the most precise and exacting standards.
With a library of more than 18,000 designs, Valcor’s design team can modify existing technology to suit practically every hard to handle application. Valcor specializes in custom applications and can create an entirely new product to meet your needs.
