Cavendish Nuclear, part of the Babcock International Group, said Tuesday it had secured a consulting contract in Canada focused on licensing of a used fuel transportation package and assessment work for long-term storage.
Work has already begun, the company said. It involves burn up calculations and nuclear material assessments, according to Nuclear Engineering International.
The work was secured through a partnership with Calian Nuclear, an industry service company.
