Your Nuclear Street Member Profile can be a very powerful communications tool. Whether you looking to network with other nuclear professionals or searching for a job, it can be customized and used to broadcast your message.

Looking for Work - Brand Yourself!

• Attach your resume to your profile by going to the Files tab and clicking "Add file" (Note: Chrome browser works best.)
• Attach any certificates, professional certifications, awards, etc. to your profile (same method as above).
• Join Groups and contribute to discussions about industry topics. Discussions are linked to your profile activity list.
• Complete the Occupation field in the About list. Why...it is search-able!
• Complete and update frequently the About text field or bio in your Profile. This is important because this is one of the fields that is also search-able.
  • Summarize your work and education experience
  • Note what positions you would consider
  • What is you availability?
  • Reference your resume and other documents in the Files location

Networking Professional - Make Connections!

• Complete the Company and Occupation Fields in your profile. It someone is looking for a person with your position or in your company, you would come up in the search results. This is great for sales or customer support.
• Complete and update frequently the About text field or bio in your Profile. Examples of connections that can be made by providing this information:
  • Note what products or services your are currently working on - possible support could be offered by other members OR possible sales from buyers looking for these products or services (by search for them!)
  • Note industry issues you have solved - become an industry expert, go to person, possible future work.
  • Note customers you have supported - prime contractors might be looking for experienced subcontractors for partnering.  
• Provide frequent status updates. How this can be of value:
  • Need help solving a technical problem - post it.
  • Need help finding a part -post it.
  • Need help finding an experienced worker - post it.
  • Ask questions for anything!

Recruiters and Employers -  Help Job Seekers Find You!

• Complete your Profile and keep the "About" field up-to-date with the latest job positions that you are looking to fill and or the customers you serve. How this can help you:
  • Job Seekers search for job titles and company contacts to see what is available or what the "buzz" is on a particular position. Your profile "About' field is search-able.
• Provide frequent status updates. How this can help you find candidates:
  • Once job seekers find you, they will "follow" you (by using the follow button) and will receive your status updates.
  • Status updates are posted on the home page! Great visibility!
• Upload Employment Applications and other Reference Files
  • Make it easy for you and them to apply for a position. Note in your "About" field that the job application forms are located in your files section of your profile.

Private Conversations

All conversations do not need to be public. To have private conversations, click a UserID which brings you to their profile, and click "Start a Conversation" link.
